Following are some of the bigger wine-focused and non-wine events for the summer in Sonoma County, California.

Wine Events 

 June

19-21 Gay Wine Weekend aka Out in the Vineyard. Info
20 Grill 116. Wine and grilled meats at a dozen wineries along Highway 116 between Sebastopol and Forestville. Info
21 Several wineries will be doing special things for Father's Day. Check around.
27 All American Zin Day. A ticketed event at several Dry Creek wineries. Info
27-28 Russian River Valley Passport.  A food and wine open house at about 35 wineries, many not usually open to the public. Info

4  Some wineries will be closed for the holiday or close early. Others will have special events. You may want to call ahead.
31-Aug 2 West of West Wine Festival. About western Sonoma County's Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Seminars, dinners, dancing, lots of wine. Info

4-6 Sonoma Wine Country Weekend. Food, wine, auction. Info

14 Bear Flag Celebration in the Sonoma Plaza with BBQ and beer. Info
21 Hot Air Balloon Classic. Info 
21 Cotati Jazz Festival. Info
24-28 Sonoma-Marin Fair. The Beach Boys headline this year. Info
26-28 NASCAR at Sonoma Raceway. Avoid the roads near that track. Info
27-28 Russian River Rodeo. In case NASCAR is too loud for you. Info
27 Giro Bello cycling event. 1200 bicycles will be on county roads this day. Info

4  Most fireworks displays will be on the Fourth, some will be on the 3rd. Info
10-11 Wine Country Big Q. Kansas City BBQ Society competition. Info
18-19 Civil War Days. Reenactments. Info
24-Aug 9 Sonoma County Fair. Food, music, horse racing, more food. Info

Wednesday: Morning: farmers' market in Santa Rosa at the Vets Building and at the Wells Fargo Center. Evenings: Santa Rosa downtown market, Wines & Sunsets at Paradise Ridge Winery, Petaluma Farmers Market.
Thursday: Windsor farmers' market and concerts. Concerts Under the Stars at Montgomery Village, Santa Rosa (every other week)
Friday: Cloverdale Farmers' Market and music in the plaza, Funky Fridays live music at Sugar Ridge State Park. Summer Music Series at Sebastiani Winery in Sonoma.
Saturday: Farmers' Markets in Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Healdsburg. Music in Montgomery Village, Santa Rosa.
Sunday: Music in Montgomery Village, Santa Rosa. West End Farmers' Market, Santa Rosa. Live at Julliard Park, Sunday evening music in Santa Rosa
Fri, Sat, Sun, and some weekday nights: Broadway Under the Stars by the Transcendence Theatre Company at Jack London State Park and other locations. Info
