Two best friends, one army, one navy, reunited as business partners, and established this winery. One of their wines is Fighter Pilot Red.
C. Mondavi & Family's Purple Heart Wines, Napa Valley
C. Mondavi owns Charles Krug Winery, and others. It's not veteran-owned, although others in previous generations of the family were vets.
John Moynier, an air force veteran, was a winemaker at C. Mondavi. After retiring, he started the Purple Heart Wines. These Sonoma County-sourced wines are part of C. Mondavi's collection.

The two founders met on a golf course. One was an army vet.
Tackitt Family Vineyards, Paso Robles
After retiring from the navy Leon Tackitt took over the family business. His grandfather first planted grapes in the 1970s, Leon started the family winery about 15 years ago.
Valor Winery, Livermore
Established by a Marine vet over ten years ago. He's adding a brewery.
