How healthy/unhealthy is wine? There are mixed signals. It seems that the amount of alcohol consumed and in what circumstances changes the outcome.

| So is wine healthy or not? It's complicated. |
Here's an interesting article from Decanter Magazine, Drinking Wine With Meals Linked to Better Health Outcomes. This isn't some self-serving industry piece, it's written by a Professor of Medicine at Harvard.
A key phrase is "... wine drinking or drinking only during meals was associated with a reduced risk of death from all causes, as well as from cancer and from cardiovascular disease."
This one published in the Oxford Academic, a research platform. The article from the European Society of Cardiology is a bit dense trying to read, but at least check out the intro and conclusions. Is Drinking Wine in Moderation Good for Health or Not?
An interesting bit from this one is, "In a much more recent study, conducted in an older population (over 56 years at enrollment), followed for over 15 years, all-cause mortality was lowest among moderate or occasional users, and highest in the group of excessive consumers, among those who had always been abstainers or among those who had stopped consuming alcohol."
Hmmm
