You're coming for some wine tasting, but once the wineries close (about 5 pm) what's there to do? Yeah, you can go to one of the excellent restaurants then go back to your lodging and collapse on the bed. You could go out to a movie, but that's boring. Maybe you don't want to go to a local watering hole if you've been wine tasting all day.
Farmers Markets
Most every weekday evening and during the morning on the weekends there is a farmers market somewhere in Sonoma County. Some are a lot more than local farmers selling fruits and vegetables. The biggest are Tues in Sonoma, Wed Santa Rosa, Thurs Windsor.
Free Concerts
Tuesday through Sunday you can find free music somewhere in Sonoma County. Tues in Healdsburg, Wed Santa Rosa, Thurs Windsor, Fri Cloverdale, Sat and Sun afternoon Montgomery Village in Santa Rosa, plus Sun evening in Santa Rosa. There are other inexpensive music shows around the county.
Sunset Over the Pacific
There are many great vantage points along the Sonoma Coast for watching the sun go down. You can watch from a beach or a cliff overlooking the ocean.
Professional Entertainment
At the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park, Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa, Transcendence Theater Company in Glen Ellen, and at one of the local playhouses with live theater.
