There are items on the legal side that may be coming to alcoholic beverages, including wine, in the next few years. These are related to public health and safety concerns.
There's already a movement underway in Europe for nutritional and ingredient labeling. This has also been talked about in the U.S., but has never really got off the ground. Yeah, most alcohol has the health value of liquid sugar, but if you see the numbers in front of you it may change your views and drinking habits.
Ingredient labeling for wine would be interesting as there are chemicals sometimes used in the process of making wine. Whether it's Dimethyl Dicarbonate or Pepsin it will make people wonder. (All of these have, of course, been okayed for use by your gov't).
Another change could be higher taxes. This is already underway in some locales as they are talking about taxing soda pop. People aren't necessarily happy with paying more for their soda or booze, but this is the same logic used on cigarettes and tobacco usage is way down -- whether it because of cost or better consumer knowledge.
In the U.S. the BAC for drunk driving is 0.08, but in many other countries it's 0.05 or even 0.03. There will eventually be a push to lower this. Some see this as public safety; others as another money-grabbing scheme by the local governments.
