Pigs and Pinot with multiple events put on by some of the best chefs and Pinot Noir producers in the county.
March 20-22
California Artisan Cheese Festival. Tastings, seminars, tours, and a cheese crawl, at various locations in the country.
March 20-Apr 2
Pliny the Younger release at Russian River Brewery, Santa Rosa and Windsor locations. What to know.
April 1-30
Taste Alexander Valley at a dozen wineries. Free tasting and 10% off purchases for the entire month, plus other events.
April 24-26
Passport to Dry Creek Valley with about 60 wineries rolling out special tastings and food.
April 29-May 1
Sonoma County Barrel Auction
May 2-3
Bodega Bay Fishman's Festival with entertainment, food, wine, beer, and the highlight, a wooden boat building and race competition with adult and kids' teams.
May 14-16
Petaluma's Salute to American Graffiti car show. Much of the movie was filmed here. Highlight is the Saturday evening cruise through downtown, just like in the movie.
May 22-24
Bottlerock music festival in Napa.
If you're waiting for summer, that season will include Broadway Under the Stars, Sonoma Shakespeare, Sonoma's historic Fourth of July party, many towns with evening farmers' markets and music, plus NASCAR and NHRA at Sonoma Raceway.
