Odd Drinking Laws

Yes, some are from the Bible Belt, but you'll find oddball drinkin' laws from all over the world.

It's illegal to be drunk on horseback in Colorado. In the UK you can't be drunk while riding a horse or in charge of any animals in a public place while drunk. So herding while drunk is a no-no.

You cannot give alcohol to a moose in Alaska. Not sure about bears.

You can't give alcohol to fish in Ohio. Not sure what event caused this law to happen.

Bolivia has an old law still on the books saying married women can't have more than one glass of wine in public.

In Italy you can't drink next to a church.

In Ireland you couldn't buy booze on Good Friday until recently.

Until a few years ago in Utah, you could not watch your bartender make your drink! They had to be in another room, or there were actually bars with frosted glass you couldn't see through. Why? Supposedly it was to shield children from ... something. From bartenders? Dubbed the Zion Curtain.

The infamous and weird Zion Curtain.
