Wine Stocks

A quick look at some of the wine, and other beverage, stocks. A few of the big ones and a couple smaller stocks compared to the overall market over the past six months. Performance graphs from Yahoo Finance as of 27 Sep 23.

S&P 500

Constellation Brands STZ  Revenue $6.7B
Wine, beer, spirits, even cannabis including Kim Crawford, Mondavi, and Prisoner on the wine side. Over 100 brands total. Note how their stock performance has closely mirrored the S&P.

Treasury Wine Estates TSRYY  Revenue $1.6B
Treasury is a worldwide corporation who owns the likes of 19 Crimes, Beringer, and Sterling wineries. Most of their brands are in Australia and Napa Valley.

Vintage Wine Estates VWE  Revenue $294M
VWE is headquartered in Santa Rosa in Sonoma County. The company is much smaller than Constellation or Treasury. They own wineries throughout the western U.S. though mostly close to home in Napa and Sonoma. A few of these are BR Cohn, Cameron Hughs, and Viansa.

Duckhorn NAPA  Revenue $373M
A newer member of the NYSE they have a few of their own labels plus a couple others they've since purchased. These smaller companies' stock, Vintage and Duckhorn, seem to still be trying to find the bottom. Yeah, I own a bit of Duckhorn, lucky me.  :)
